Privacy policy
Last updated 7 November 2026
This policy explains what the Kulip Mac app and kulip.app collect, why, where it is kept and how to remove it. Kulip is built to keep your work on your own Mac.
What stays on your Mac
Your projects, files, chats, job contracts and receipts are stored in a database on your Mac. Passwords and access tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain. We do not receive copies of them.
What reaches us
- Your account. To sign in, we keep your email address and an account identifier with our sign-in provider, Supabase.
- Updates. The app checks kulip-alpha.netlify.app for new versions. That request carries your app version, not your data.
- The website. kulip.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs.
AI models
Some jobs run on a model on your Mac, and nothing leaves it. When a job uses a cloud model that you have chosen, the text and files that job needs are sent to that model's provider to produce the answer, under that provider's terms. Kulip shows which model a job will use before you agree to it.
Google user data (Google Ads)
This section applies only if you connect a Google Ads account.
- What we access. With the permission you grant on Google's consent screen (the Google Ads scope,
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords), Kulip reads the accounts you choose: campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, search terms, conversion actions, settings and performance figures.
- How we use it. Only to show you your account's health, its compliance with the Google Ad Grants rules and suggested fixes, and, when you preview and confirm a change, to make that one change in your account. Kulip never changes your account without your confirmation.
- Where it is stored. On your Mac. Your Google access token is kept in the macOS Keychain. Requests go from your Mac directly to Google. Kulip's servers never receive your Google Ads data or your token.
- Sharing. We do not sell Google user data and do not share it with anyone, with one exception that you choose: if you ask Kulip to explain your account using a cloud model, the figures needed for that answer go to that model's provider, as described under "AI models". With a model on your Mac, nothing leaves it.
- What we never do. We do not use Google user data for advertising, to build profiles or to train AI models, and no person at Kulip reads it unless you ask us for help and share it with us.
- Limited Use. Kulip's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Removing access. Disconnect Google Ads in Kulip to delete the token and the Google Ads data from your Mac. You can also remove Kulip's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
How long we keep things
Data on your Mac stays until you delete it or uninstall Kulip. Your account record stays until you ask us to delete it; we delete it within 30 days of your request.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Write to privacy@kulip.app. If you are in the European Union or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Kulip is for adults at work. It is not meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and its date. If a change affects how Google user data is handled, we tell you in the app before it takes effect.
